INTERSECT by Lexus Opens in NYC

INTERSECT BY LEXUS  (412 West 14th Street) has opened in the heart of the Meatpacking District in New York City. The sprawling three-story space boasts a Restaurant, Café, Cocktail Bar, Lounge and gallery space, all designed by renowned interior designer Masamichi Katayama of Wonderwall.

The third iteration of INTERSECT  is an ideal lifestyle hub- a place to bring together people, ideas, design and culture. A place to be inspired and stimulated by art, books and technology, while having conversations on everything from culinary to culture.

Walking in from the street level, you are welcomed into the minimalistic Café, a stylized venue that is open for breakfast and lunch, with communal seating for guests. The simplistic space is modern, yet comfortable.

Venture towards the back of the space to the CRAFTED FOR LEXUS retail and public gallery areas, which include product concepts, custom designs, and installations throughout the first floor of the 16,500 square foot space.

Climb the stairs to the second floor, where INTERSECT features a full-service restaurant, bar and lounge. The space seamlessly blends comfort, impeccable service, design and culinary masterpieces that can be seen from the open kitchen.  With the Global Chefs-in-Residence program, a new chef will take the reign every 4-6 months, to give diners a fresh experience and sample styles from around the world.

Debuting its very first collaboration is Chef Gregory Marchand of Frenchie (Paris, London). After receiving his degree in cooking, Chef Gregory worked in  Scotland and then London, moving up to places like The Mandarin Oriental, Savoy, Soho House and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen. At INTERSECT,  classic dishes on the menu include Terrine, Foie Gras, Scallops and Beef. All are all intricately prepared with a beautiful presentation.

Executive Chef Nickolas Martinez oversees the kitchen year-round with the chosen chef-in-residence, and the cocktail bar and lounge draws inspiration from seasonal ingredients to create an original selection of drinks under the helm of sommelier Andrea Morris. The cocktail menu features seasonal delights, as well as a pleasing non-alcoholic section. Operated by Union Square Hospitality Group, INTERSECT is a no-tip, no-cash establishment.

Finally, the third floor Private Gallery completes the space, transforming for a multitude of culturally relevant programming concepts such as including full immersion events, art installations, film screenings, panels, performances and other inviting experiences. For more info: intersect-nyc.com
