In an attempt to win over the better halves of their well-heeled female clients as well as honor their devoted male clients, Selfridges London has unveiled the UK’s first dedicated Personal Shopping concept for men. Dapper men can avail the best of services at the 1,200 sqaure foot space reserved at the Oxford Street store.

Designed by architect Alex Cochrane, the new space includes three elegant suites, a reception area and a salon space complete with a floor-to-ceiling library. The unique environment, featuring Damien Hirst artwork, is designed to render a feeling of a home-away-from-home in the heart of London’s West End. One of London’s leading Men’s stylists, Joe Ottaway, is heading this service as the first dedicated menswear specialist at Selfridges. Along with him three menswear consultants, who are multi-lingual, multi-talented style experts with an unrivalled understanding of global menswear collections, will join Selfridges’ Men’s Personal Shopping team.

Selfridges_Men's-personal-shoppingDesigned to offer a wholesome personal five-star experience, the service will deliver outstanding fashion experiences apart from the new made-to-measure service. The private service also comes with not-so-significant benefits like a cup of coffee and a complimentary chauffer driven ride back home. However to avail all of this and more exclusive indulgence, Selfridges has listed an eligibility factor – clients need to spend a minimum of $3,400 (£2,000). That isn’t too much to ask for such an indulgent experience for style-conscious men in London.

Speaking about the newest all-for-men space in a store like Selfridges ,Joe Ottaway explains, “Some men find the whole shopping process intimidating, others don’t have the time, while some would simply rather the hassle were removed so they can sit back and enjoy it as a service. No two clients are the same, and we treat each consultation like a meeting with a friend.”
