The shoes that caught fashionistas’ attention on the red carpet of the “Maleficent” premieres are about to hit the streets.
Created by Christian Louboutin in collaboration with Angelina Jolie for her recent press tour, the limited edition Malangeli shoes are now available for pre-order at the brand’s five flagship stores in Paris, Hong Kong, London, New York and West Hollywood.
A Louboutin spokesperson describes the limited-edition shoe design as “dangerous and altogether seductive” with “an illusion of magic” thanks to the nude mesh.
Available in black and red, the shoes have a twisted heel that calls to mind a curl of smoke for an evil touch. Shoe addicts will have to shell out $1,400 to pre-order a pair, with delivery starting on October 20.
But since Angelina Jolie is involved, the initiative will also benefit a good cause: all proceeds will go to SOS Children’s Villages, which works to improve the lives of orphaned and abandoned children.
