Make your own Marchesa or Rodarte outfit at newwebsite Tinker Tailor, which launched earlier this month. We at Pursuitist have long been fans of custom options on our favorite designer pieces, but this new website is a great way to personalize multiple designer brands in a single destination. The website offers the opportunity to customize designer pieces for a limited time. A Marchesa gown (or wedding dress), for example, might come in different lengths, sleeve styles and colors, and will be custom designed to your measurements. Other, simpler styles of dresses, tops and skirts may also be customized with a wide variety of fabrics. The prices are high, $600 and up per piece, but the couture-with-a-single-click model is certainly attractive.
We’re excited to continue to watch what designers sign on to this new ecommerce site, and to monitor the website as it improves its web presence; the user experience is a bit clunky right now.
But we want to know what you think — would you use the site?
