Earlier this year, Pursuitist had the exclusive opportunity to visit one of the world’s most renowned luxury resorts – the incomparable Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort.
There are many things to love about the resort, as evidenced by its A-list guest roster (think Clooney and Oprah, among others) but one of the most special features is the small array of private ocean and beachfront villas. Accessible through a private gate and separate from the rest of the resort, these 12 intimate accommodations are available for only the most discerning (and deep pocketed) travelers.
Completely renovated and re-opened in June of 2015 after Hurricane Odile, the one- to three-bedroom residences feature 4,500 to 5,700 of indoor-outdoor living space, with perks like private pools and hot tubs and a dedicated 24/7 “villa butler.”
One-bedroom villas feature either a media room with state-of-the-art entertainment systems or a wellness room, complete with high-tech fitness equipment and a personal wellness coach, and stays come with a complimentary welcome massage.
We had the special opportunity to stay in Villa 5, which was gorgeously equipped with a massive indoor-outdoor bathroom, generous full kitchen, and two generously-sized bedrooms, one of which had panoramic ocean views from two full walls of windows.
Perks included in-room breakfast service and afternoon guacamole and margaritas, twice daily housekeeping, a fully stocked fridge (hello, late night ice cream!), unpacking and packing services and even sewing kits customized to the colors of our wardrobe. We’ve never felt so pampered.
