When celebrities spend big money for a luxury car, what do they buy? A Rolls-Royce or a Bentley? A Mercedes-Benz or BMW? A Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini?
A 2026 study by the auto experts at Rerev reveals which brands the world’s biggest stars actually choose to drive. And it may surprise you.
The 2026 research zeroed in on a wide variety of luxury car brands to ascertain which have won over the most celebrity owners. Data was gathered from automotive media, manufacturer information, and documented sightings to confirm who actually owns what, with every named celebrity tied to a citable source. Brands were then ranked by their total number of verified famous owners. The study also determined the most popular model for each brand and what it costs on the open market.
Here’s the 2026 countdown of the Top 5 celebrity-owned luxury car makers:

5. Bugatti
Bugatti finishes the top five with 20 confirmed celebrity owners. The brand is the go-to choice for those willing to spend the most. The the most popular Bugatti model, the Veyron, sells for nearly $2 million, more than four times the cost of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and more than ten times that of a Porsche 911. The A-listers owning a Bugatti include the likes of Tom Brady, Jay-Z, Drake, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Travis Scott.

4. Lamborghini
Lamborghini comes in fourth with 23 confirmed celebrity owners, namely Kylie Jenner, Kanye West, Travis Scott, and Nicki Minaj. The brand’s signature model in celebrity circles is the Aventador, which retails at around $350,000. Unlike Mercedes or Land Rover, Lamborghini’s appeal skews toward music and entertainment figures, with rappers and pop stars comprising a big share of the documented owners list.

3. Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce ranks third, with 24 documented celebrity owners. The brand’s most popular models are the Cullinan and Phantom, with an average price tag of $450,000. Its owner list includes everyone from Jay-Z and Beyoncé to Drake, Kim Kardashian, and Justin Bieber. The brand is also quite popular among moneyed pro athletes, with Floyd Mayweather, Cristiano Ronaldo, and David Beckham all parking at least one Rolls in their garage.

2. Ferrari
Ferrari comes in second place with 27 confirmed celebrity owners. The Italian manufacturer is clearly a press favorite, with over 60,000 mentions across international media — more than Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini combined. Ferrari’s roster includes Formula 1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc alongside pop culture figures such as Gordon Ramsay, and Kylie Jenner. The most commonly owned models are the 458 and 488, priced at around $280,000.

1. Mercedes-Benz
With 15,000 media mentions, Mercedes-Benz has more confirmed celebrity owners than any other luxury car brand. A total of 34 famous names have been driving it, with the G-Wagon (G63) standing out as the clear favorite. At around $180,000, the G-Wagon is relatively cheaper than competitors like Rolls-Royce — and Mercedes offers a wide range of models at a wide range of prices — which likely explains why its owner list spans such a wide range of celebrities, from athletes like Lewis Hamilton and Cristiano Ronaldo to entertainers like Jay Leno, Travis Scott, and Cardi B.
Commenting on the study, Rerev’s automotive analysts noted that the G-Wagon’s story is intriguing. Originally commissioned in the 1970s as a military vehicle. the Shah of Iran ordered 20,000 units before being deposed, and it spent its early years in the Swiss, Norwegian, and Argentinian armies. Mercedes didn’t introduce it to the American market until 2002, but when it debuted, it flipped from army truck to status symbol within a few years.
Ranked just below the Top 5 is Land Rover, a practical luxury SUV in Hollywood that also has royal approval, with Prince William, Kate Middleton, and 18 other famous names choosing it over sports cars.
