Getting men new shirts suddenly seems to be on everyone’s minds. Here’s what’s happening and why.
For a men’s-wear basic, the dress shirt has received a lot of attention this fall. On Tuesday, Gant put it front and center when the company rolled out a limited-run collection celebrating the brand’s 60th anniversary. The six preppy designs ($135 to $295) were inspired by Gant’s archives. Brooks Brothers, another bastion of American understatement, recently introduced a new fit, the extra slim. To meet demand, the New York flagship will add five new extra-slim styles in blue checks and stripes ($79.50) in about a week. – From NY Times
