Modern planters design has been catching on for quite some time now. With the increasing interest in building modern, green, comfortable homes that are more and more in tune with our natural surroundings, the need for visually appealing planter design has become part of an eye-catching home. Greenery is welcomed inside under different shapes, from green walls to succulents kept in geometric planters.
Filipino designer Jinggoy Buensuceso has imagined a planters collection that can be correlated with our modern surroundings. The Boulders Collection was designed for HIVE and this is how the designer describes his contribution to this field: “The Boulders Collection offers a juxtaposition of contemporary forms and antique detailing. The polygonal shape is a simple conveyance of modern sculptures while the natural oxidation of metal provides the rustic feel. All planters are offered in neutral rusty shade while the bowls come in white, black and blue.”
We’ve presented some contemporary planters for homes that need more that the usual visual effect and I’m going to mention the Antipode Planter by Morris Design Office, and the Floating Garden by Gabriella Asztalos. All three planters have a sleek design that make them easily adaptable to modern homes.
