Giorgio Armani and Samsung have unveiled a $1,000 luxury mobile phone. The legendary fashion designer explained that the high-end device “combined beauty with function” in a simple and timeless way.
“Today more than ever, elegant dressing is part of daily business life. When Samsung asked me to design the new business and lifestyle smartphone I decided to use my fashion aesthetic to create it,” said Armani. “I simply aim to create a smartphone which is not only an elegant tool but also functional and useful, perfect for today’s managers. The result is a unique smartphone perfectly suited to every moment of one’s business and private day.”
Aimed at complementing the designer’s suits, the latest handset has both a touchscreen and a slide out keyboard. Functioning on Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, the phone delivers an entirely enhanced Internet Explore Mobile browser experience. Further, flaunting a large 3.5-inch Amoled screen and 5.0-megapixel camera, the smartphone features a highly standardized music and video player. The device also ensures high speed HSDPA Internet and GPS navigation. Offering 8GB of internal memory, the luxurious phone is smartly designed to complement users’ elevated fashion tastes and preferences. For now, there is no official word on the availability and pricing details of this graceful Giorgio Armani-Samsung smartphone.
