Dutch company Moooi designed a special collection of hand-painted furniture that encompasses fun graphics in a symbol-filled pattern. Entitled the Altdeutsche Möbel Furniture Collection, this creative process first took place in the minds of the team at Studio Job. The three furniture items – a blanket chest, grandfather clock and cupboard – were designed by the dutch-Belgian duo to display a study of man’s duality – captured between the manufacturer and the artist creating the design.
Inspired by decorative manner antique Frankish furniture and decorated with old German hand-painted objects on a white background, these three unique furniture pieces were presented during Milan Design Week 2012 and amazed visitors with their symbolism and an interpretable set of graphics. By having one of these beautiful, playful pieces of furniture in your home, you can reflect on the issues raised by the Dutch designers.
