Champagne is synonymous to celebration and raising a toast. However this festive beverage also boasts of healthy benefits. Apart from reducing risk of heart attack and stroke, fans of this bubbly spirit will be glad to hear that a glass of champagne also gives a boost to the well-being of the brain. It is scientifically proven that drinking one to three glasses of champagne a week may counteract the memory loss associated with aging, and could help delay the onset of degenerative brain disorders, such as dementia.
A 2013 study by University of Reading, which has recently resurfaced on social media, helps the champagne drinkers to justify their preference and craving for the white sparkling wine. A compound found in Pinot noir and Pinot meunier grapes used to make bubbly, is said to prevent the onset of the brain diseases and also also boost their spatial memory.
Do we need more reasons to pop the cork and enjoy the champers without any worries?
