A fantastic mix of gray stone and glass was used by Hernandez Silva Arquitectos to construct this amazing contemporary residence in Zapopan, Mexico. The Godoy House features ravishing interiors and a display of complex architectural elements on the facade. Located on a corner lot in a private neighborhood just outside the city, the Godoy House can pride itself on having uneven levels composing its exquisite interiors.
Seen from the front, the residence shows off two volumes: the lower gray stone volume shelters the car parking, while the second volume on top is a transparent box protected by a steel lattice on the side. The front facade is an architectural masterpiece displaying only the two volumes, but the back garden is a fabulous modern heaven with a cantilevering bedroom over the ground floor terrace. This part of the house is mainly open to the outside with the help of large glass walls and folding window systems, seamlessly connecting the open interiors to the exterior garden. Luxurious and comfortable, the Godoy House sets a new standard for modern architecture.
