You can’t keep sitting behind the wheel all the while to demonstrate your fondness for your Bentley. Female fans of the auto brand can step out of their Bentleys, carrying a part of it up their arms. Bentley is set to celebrate the spring season by adding more colors to its capsule handbag collection which will go on sale at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4. The brand has extended the exquisite color palette of cars to its range of luxury accessories for woman. Bentley Continental and Barnato bags will be kitted in the brand’s signature bespoke hide combinations making them haute-couture arm candies for the well-heeled.
Shoppers can opt for bags clad in Dragon Red drawn from the Continental GT V8 and Cumbrian Green which reminds of the renowned Bentley Blower model. This style replicates the traditional 1930’s design where the car body was part paint, part trimmed in leather.
Luring Bentley fans with more colors, the Barnato handbag is designed in Imperial Blue exterior with Linen panels. It also opens up to Linen interior accented with Imperial Blue pockets. This color combination will be a hit with all those who are making plans to hit the sea and coastal destinations for yachting and other leisure pursuits.
Combinations like Saffron/Linen, Imperial Blue/Linen, Portland/Pillar Box Red and Saddle/Linen feature central blocks of color which are bordered by contrast tones. Furthermore Bentley’s color permutations from the cars fly out to dress the bags in a contemporary style, including Autumn/light blue (seasonal), Burgundy/Linen (classic) and St James’ Red/Aquamarine (avant‑garde).
Dr Ariane Reinhart, from Bentley Motors states, “The colours are strong and exciting. We want to bring accents of daring colour into a woman’s wardrobe. The shades emphasise an aspect of the true Bentley personality, which a new generation of female customers can enjoy in their daily lives. The new handbag colours are complemented by the new silk scarves and bring the refined luxury and bespoke elements of a Bentley to a wider female audience.”
Within the scarf images are featured the Jacobean mansion of Crewe Hall, the historic estate of Tatton Park and the renowned façade of Bentley’s factory. Step out of your Bentley in style by wrapping one of the two scarves around your neck for $278.
Offered in combinations of blue/Magenta and orange/Magenta, the scarves feature a compass, a composition of Bentley’s wings logo, a map of the world and a dial from a Bentley dashboard. Even the hand-rolled edge of the scarves is inspired by the matrix grille on the front of Bentley models.
Along with the scarves, the Continental handbag will be available for $5,500, while the Barnato handbag can be grabbed for $7,000 from a local Bentley dealer or from their on-line store.
