The Ritz-Carlton has partnered with Bloomingdale’s for an autumn takeover at the 59th Street flagship in New York City, titled “Hotel Bloomingdale’s,” merging luxury hospitality with a high end retail experience. The combination perfectly captures the essence of a five-star stay, focusing on atmosphere. By carrying its legacy of hospitality from the resort lobby to the retail floor, the iconic hotel brand successfully turns a routine afternoon of shopping into an elegant and immersive escape.
Running from September 10 through October 19, the takeover offers consumers a new way to experience the world of The Ritz-Carlton beyond the traditional hotel setting. At the heart of the experience, shoppers step into a hotel-inspired retail destination featuring curated fashion, beauty, home and travel products spread across five themed areas: The Spa, Room Service, Travel, Souvenirs, and Newsstand. The space brings together an impressive mix of top-tier brands, blending names like La Prairie and Assouline among many others.

The curated hotel journey begins at The Carousel, which has been transformed into a cozy, upscale “Lobby and Gift Shop.” One of the main attractions here is the “Late Checkout: A Ritz-Carlton Story” capsule collection, marking the very first time this exclusive apparel line has been available through a retail partner. Packed with heavy-knit hoodies, tailored sweatshirts, and plush Frette robes, the collection perfectly captures the clean, comfortable elegance of off-duty travel. Nearby, themed “Room Service” outposts are stocked with premium home details like custom Diptyque candles and Marvis toothpaste, allowing visitors to bring the indulgent feel of a luxury suite back to their homes.
Once done perusing the amazing collection, guests can head up to Studio 59 to find a sleek, transformed, Ritz-Carlton-inspired hotel bar. The lounge serves up destination-inspired cocktails meticulously modeled after the brand’s ultra-luxury Yacht Collection and Reserve resorts, offering the perfect spot to pause and unwind.

All in all, “Hotel Bloomingdale’s by The Ritz-Carlton” is an extraordinary destination to browse incredible design, shop exclusive capsules, and enjoy a world-class cocktail. Blending legacy brands with luxury service, it makes for the perfect Saturday afternoon stop.
