You’ve heard the terms ‘beauty rest’ or ‘beauty sleep’ – but did you ever wonder if sleep really does lead to beauty? Well, wonder no further. New research has shown a link to getting a good night’s sleep – and looking more attractive the next day.
The research, conducted by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, took photos of individuals after a good sleep and after being sleep deprived. Observers judged the faces of sleep-deprived participants as less healthy and less attractive.
So if you’ve got a hot date or are trying impress for a job interview or presentation – get your beauty rest.
I’m definitely a big believer of beauty sleep. In fact, I make sure to get at least 8 hours every night. I stress less and my mind functions so much better.
It would be useful, when you mention “a study”, to link to the actual study.
Anyone can say “a study said this”, just like selecting a “famous quote” can prove anything you want.
We need to know *what the study is*, who funded it, whether it’s a peer-reviewed, published study or a study that was so flawed it never made it into any journals.
There are good studies and bad studies, like anything else. Without a link to the study, you are not providing any useful information.
