Amazing looking aircraft.
The latest addition to the vaunted fraternity of X-planes, a series of experimental United States military aircraft used for testing of new technologies, is preparing for its historic first flight later this month. Building on the heritage of the Bell X-1, the first plane to break the sound barrier (in 1947), the latest model is known as the Advanced Composite Cargo Aircraft (ACCA). Crafted by Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works team, the plane, essentially a heavily modified Dornier 328JET, is a lot sexier than it sounds. – From James List
