Rick Ross sits down with Pursuitist to talk luxury on his own terms-from Luc Belaire pairings to bucket list travel.
Rick Ross has never been shy about the finer things. The rapper-turned-entrepreneur has built an empire on unapologetic ambition, from chart-topping albums to his sprawling Georgia estate, Promise Land. In this candid conversation, the boss reveals a more nuanced take on what luxury really means to him now: calling your own shots, grilling steak outdoors and maybe—finally—booking that trip.

Pursuitist: Mr. Ross, you have built your brand around indulgence and living large. How does an alcohol-free sparkling wine fit into your lifestyle currently?
Rick Ross: Well, really, it’s just about tapping in with what’s going on right now. Sometimes you need everything for the perfect timing, and that’s what this is about- timing.

Pursuitist: Your favorite food and wine pairings- what do you pair this with when you’re at home?
Rick Ross: Let’s say, if you’re outside, and I’ve got the grill on. Fish. Let’s say, if it’s steak, you know, I love to take steak- slice it up, and just wrap it with grilled onion, and I have Belaire. So if you are out on the water, however, your vibe is, you know, but most definitely fish or steak with rosé is amazing.

Pursuitist: You have gone from artist to mogul to author. What does the next chapter look like for you?
Rick Ross:
NFL owner, why not?
Pursuitist: Any team?
Rick Ross: Dolphins.
Pursuitist: You’ve collaborated with almost everyone. Is there still a dream collaboration that you haven’t done yet?
Rick Ross: Oh, Sade. Without a doubt.

Pursuitist: And what’s one of your favorite lyrics in your collaboration that still holds to you today?
Rick Ross: Whip it real hard, whip it real hard. Whip that work, multiply whatever your hustle is, whatever you’re doing makes you multiply by 10 credits.
Pursuitist: You are very well known for your estate, your cars, and your overall aesthetic. So, how has your personal definition of luxury evolved over the years?
Rick Ross: Really, just enjoying life, that’s the true luxury. When you enjoy life, call the shots. It could be as simple as you wanted it to be, but if you don’t call the shots, you make your plans, and that’s how it rolls out.
Pursuitist: You spent your whole career making people feel like they’re already winning, but what’s one thing that you still haven’t conquered yet?
Rick Ross: Oh man, it’s a lot of things I haven’t conquered. It’s a lot, honestly. It’s a lot. I still haven’t run a marathon.

Pursuitist: What bucket list places in the world that you haven’t been to yet. What’s on your list?
Rick Ross: Egypt, I haven’t been to. If I haven’t been there, it’s a good bet I wasn’t in a rush. Egypt is a place I want to go, and I finally told myself, maybe we need to go to Japan, maybe.
Pursuitist: What’s one place that’s had the biggest impact on you?
Rick Ross: Capri. I love Capri. I love the water. I love being outdoors. So, if it’s water, if it’s an island, it’s a good chance, I will be there. I love it. And if it’s somewhere without water, that’s most definitely a negative. In SoCal, it’s Middle Beach. No Malibu-it’s too far.
With his book, Renaissance of a Boss: Notes from a Creative Reawakening, coming out May 12, 2026, and his long-running partnership with Luc Belaire Rosé still going strong, Rick Ross continues to define luxury on his own terms . To follow along: www.instagram.com/richforever
