Cara Delevingne is all over the fashion sphere, as the most favored model of the moment as well as the most voguish designer. And now she has bagged the honor of starring on the cover of Vogue’s biggest fashion issue. Flaunting her signature bush eyebrows, the super model will grace the 462-page September edition of Vogue UK. This is the third time Delevingne has posed for Vogue cover. Captured by Mario Testino, Cara Delevingne is clad in pieces from Nicolas Ghesquiere’s debut Louis Vuitton collection. Supervised by fashion editor, Lucinda Chambers, the model is styled in leather and silk dress worth £3,535 ($6,000) and strapped with a £495 ($825) leather knot belt from Louis Vuitton. Her appearance is inspired by the 60s fashion trend of sporting the cat eye makeup.
British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman, introduced the September 2014 issue by stating that it includes more fashion shoots than they have ever collected in one single magazine. She suggested it as a must-buy for this autumn season. Also when asked what sets British Vogue apart from the other international editions, she replied that “we have a hugely wide-reaching range of style in our pages – which is appropriate for a country that has the diverse and original culture we do. ”
The super model who has already appeared on the magazine’s March 2013 and January 2014 covers has expressed her excitement and gratitude on Instagram too – “So happy with my @britishvogue cover! Thank you @mariotestino @thevalgarland #ChristiaanHoutenbos #LucindaChambers.”
The fall issue of the fashion bible also brings all of the autumn/winter 2014 collections to the fore for the first time. Vogue’s September issue will be available on newsstands from August 4.
