“What’s black and white and red all over?” This is the $546 riddle displayed by BlackBerry on their official website. Obviously, through it, the company announces their latest Q5 smartphone model, running on BlackBerry 10. Q5 was designed for the active type of individual, in order to provide “a fast, effortless experience that helps you explore, create and share while on the go”.
What does the new BlackBerry Q5 offer?
A youthful, neat design, a powerful experience and the ability to manage several tasks effortlessly. “It is for youthful fans that are passionate, confident and bold, and it makes it easy for them to have fun, create, share and stay connected.”
BlackBerry Q5 packs a classic QWERTY keyboard, a 3.1-inch 720p touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also comes equipped with two cameras (a 2MP front camera and a regular 5MP camera). That’s right, the specs are not that impressing. Honestly, we would even dare to say that this list of tech specs doesn’t explain the phone’s price. As we previously mentioned, Q5 does not come cheap. It has (more or less) the same price as other powerful smartphones, such as HTC One X+, Motorola Razr HD or Nokia Lumia 820. The Q5 model is expected to hit the market in the middle of July.
