Country music icon Willie Nelson has been tapped by John Varvatos to be the face of the brand’s 2013 advertising campaign. Nelson stars in the campaign, along with his two sons, Lukas and Micah Nelson.
The campaign is shot by photographer Danny Clinch in Des Moines, in the historic Salisbury House museum.
A three-minute film, also shot at Salisbury House and featuring the Nelson clan, will make its debut on johnvarvatos.com later this week.
Varvatos has a history of featuring musicians in its ads. Past campaigns have featured Jimmy Page, Paul Weller, Dave Matthews, Iggy Pop, ZZ Top and Green Day.
