Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens from INK Design Lab have imagined a spectacular modern addition to an existing residence. The South-African design duo managed to recreate the feeling of a luxury resort intermingled with the beauty of contemporary residential interior design. Wood and glass meet modern furniture and furnishings in an exquisite dream home addition named Westcliff Pavilion. Needing a space to relax and entertain, owners commissioned the designers to build a space where comfort, relaxation and entertainment go hand in hand.
The result gathers a splendid white kitchen, large dining space, bath and indoor swimming pool in a hard-to-ignore design. Wood and glass merge in a unique display of style, extending to the outdoor deck to recreate the feeling of an open yet private retreat. A tall tree pierces through the roof only to compose the main focal point in between all the wooden details left in natural state. Easy to open the living space to the outside via folding glass doors, this modern addition would spark up any conversation, don’t you think?
