An elegant Turkish restaurant steals the spotlight from Istanbul’s luxury dining places – the contemporary Tapasuma restaurant. Part of one of Istanbul’s beloved luxury boutique hotels – Sumahan on the Water – the splendidly modern restaurant overlooks the Bosphorous, capturing natural sunlight through dark-framed doors and windows and gently dissipating it under the vaulted ceilings.
Welcoming guests with a relaxing color palette defined by white, earthy grey and light green, the restaurant showcases a carefully designed space punctured by steel columns and adorned with remaining stone walls from when the time Tapasuma was an alcohol factory, back in the Ottoman days. Besides the light-flooded dining zone, a higher lounge zone with custom designed divans, contemporary kilims and low tables sparks up private conversations. An eight meter marble bar welcomes guests at the entrance, while the cork flooring or bleached oak cabinets complete the luxurious scenery. Have you packed your bags yet?
