When visiting Tehran, Iran, make sure you swing by this magnificent contemporary restaurant featuring a warm atmosphere. The interiors were designed by Expose Architecture in an effort to present the restaurant’s clients with the best ambiance a modern, wood-adorned restaurant can offer. The Ator Restaurant was opened in 2010 – its interiors occupy only 50 square meters, but the clever space arrangement enriches the dining experience and constructs a carefully planned space for clients to enjoy.
The client brief included interesting points that led to this particular design – for example, cleaning under the tables should be simple and easy. The designers of Expose Architecture merged modern design and the client’s request into a spectacular volumetric interior design. The chairs are made of blocks of wood, while the easy to clean tables float above the ground. All seating units pop out of the walls with a chunky-looking block design hovering above the floor. Straight lines and heavy-looking details were combined with a carefully studied space arrangement in order to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
