A new documentary is promising to get up close and personal with one of the most famous and notorious women in fashion.
Anna Wintour – the notorious editor of US Vogue magazine – allowed a film crew to follow her for several months to produce The September Issue – a film labeled as the real-life Devil Wears Prada. British-born Wintour is a notoriously fiery and opinionated character, who was the inspiration for Meryl Streep’s Oscar nominated turn in that film. She was also the basis for characters in Ugly Betty and Pixar film The Incredibles. But this is the first time she has allowed a camera crew to follow her around. “It was her suggestion,” director RJ Cutler insisted. “She said if you really want to see how I do what I do, you should make a movie about the September issue. “People know when she’s happy, they know when she’s unhappy and they know they’ve displeased her. You see it in the film, but the way it’s communicated is far more surprising than these clichés you see elsewhere.” – From Sky News
