Spreading a soft glow from behind its printed textile “curtains”, the Ori Light by Producks Design Studio and Mika Barr is more than a source of light. Its sculptural shape is dynamic, it moves and dances with you. Imagine hanging a couple of Ori lamps in the garden on a warm summer night and lounging in a hammock near their soft glow, watching the night sky pierced by stars.
The light’s name – Ori – stands for “folding” in Japanese and “Or” means “light” in Hebrew, creating an collaboration between two wonderful concepts. Textile designer Mika Barr’s Folding Apart fabric covers a dark sleek silhouette in the case of the table version and floor version. Showcasing a folding and unfolding cloud-like shape with an inner geometric structure printed on the inside of the fabric, this light series features a hidden zipper for when you need to be practical and change the light bulb.
