Irresistible like the cute white cat, the Mikimoto x Hello Kitty collection also lured us to return back with more unique and dazzling jewelry pieces. The highlight of the 20 piece collection is the tiara that has been designed to be one of a kind. The two Japanese brands have teamed up to commemorate Hello Kitty’s 40th birthday in the most glittering style.
Ingeniously designed to make the wearer feel like the queen of Kitty world, this collector’s piece is sadly, not up for sale. The center of attraction of this tiara is the oval shape diamond that is shaped like Kitty’s face with ears shaped out of a pair of trilliant cut diamonds. The creativity is also emphasized by the claws that appear to be the whiskers of this feline pet in the dazzling carbon avatar. Surrounded by a diamond studded heart shaped frame, this Hello Kitty actually shines like a diamond in midst of the pearl flowers and precious strawberries.
Another interesting and rather playful feature of this highly-exclusive crown is that the 3D strawberries lockets pop open to reveal bejeweled miniatures of Hello Kitty and her boyfriend Daniel too.
Another accessory to add oomph to the crown is the hair clasp that is ornamented with Akoya pearls, rubies, diamonds and onyx.
Hello Kitty strikes a pose with a model wearing the Hello Kitty tiara at the Mikimoto x Hello Kitty launch event at Mikimoto’s flagship boutique in Tokyo.
The pearl necklace clasps for $2,567 with a pearl ribbon motif.
While the ring with a diamond studded bow with a pearl center is available for $2,600.
The Jewellery Editor also reports that the collection was launched at Mikimoto’s main store in Ginza, Tokyo and the Parisian boutique Colette in January. Currently it is being rolled out in other stores worldwide.
