Time has posted its annual list of the 50 Best Websites of 2011 and it’s full of interesting and noteworthy sites.
Personalized internet radio startup 8tracks features at the top of the list and is followed by (American only) on-demand TV and movie streaming website HBO GO, how-to video site Howcast, and comedy video site My Damn Channel.
Other celebrated websites that make this year’s cut include GetHuman, a website that “provides numbers for thousands of companies” and tips about which buttons to press to bypass the voice-menu system and the approximate time you will spend waiting online; Techmeme, the news site that technology journalists obsess over; consumer electronics advice siteRetrevo; and Google’s latest social media endeavor, Google+.
