You know you’ve made it when a diamond company decides to create a custom piece of jewelry and name it after you. In this case, Jane Seymour, the actress best known for roles in James Bond film Live and Let Die and the series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, has recently received the honor from the Russia-based WORLD OF DIAMONDS group.
The group used an extraordinary 2.08 carat Fancy Vivid Blue diamond to create “The Jane Seymour” and celebrate the actresses’ accomplishments in the film industry. Seymour has won an Emmy, two Golden Globes, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“The invitation to behold this creation would rather you not compare The Jane Seymour to anything else in the high jewelry world. It is a celebratory treat, more comparable to a mega-yacht or a ticket to the moon,” said Karan Tilani, Director, World Of Diamonds Group.
Set in platinum, the custom-designed ring was worn by Seymour during a private dinner in Singapore to celebrate The Vortex, a new play.
Similar rings have been valued at more than $2 million at auction. The Jane Seymour is currently for sale, but only to select buyers. The eventual purchaser must also fulfill certain criteria established at the discretion of the Group’s Chairman. So far, there have been a few inquiries (including royal families!), but the eventual owner will be hand-selected and a special buyer indeed.
