Envisioned by Cristian Corvin, the “Tears and Saints” venue (original name: “Lacrimi si sfinti”) is a creative traditional approach to a contemporary restaurant. Even though defined by the common use of wood and stone, the project is far from being ordinary. As they enter, visitors are slowly immersed in an original setting, one that reveals fascinating bits of the Romanian past.
The creative team behind the project explains some of the elements that make the venue stand out:“Tears and Saints is a restaurant serving modern Romanian cuisine. It had to be traditional and contemporary with a bit of wit. It has all the stereotypes of the Romanian traditional restaurants including folkloric artifacts, except they are built in LEGO pieces, from carpets hanging on the wall to the trophy animal heads. Most of the furniture is old authentic Romanian gathered in various regions of Romania, from Oltenia to Transylvania.” Find its overall atmosphere appealing?
