In one of the biggest studies of coffee and tea drinkers, researchers found that regularly drinking tea and coffee can reduce the risk of developing heart disease.
People who drink 3-6 cups are 45% less likely to suffer coronary problems compared to mild drinkers or non-drinkers. Drinking six or more cups was associated with a 36% lower risk of heart disease.
The study shows that moderate intake was beneficial – with those drinking 2-4 cups showing a 20% lower risk of heart problems.
