Steve McQueen has been hot lately – even if he’s been dead for more than 30 years. Items associated with the legendary Hollywood actor have been going for big dollars, such as the watch he wore in the film LeMans selling for $800,000 recently at auction.
Now you can own McQueen’s former home, the 500+ acre Pioneer Moon Ranch, which lies at the foot of the Pioneer Mountains in Idaho.
The property includes the East Fork of the Big Wood River, which is the lifeblood of the ranch and flows the length of the property for over 1.5 miles. The East Fork is a year-round freestone stream and provides irrigation water for the ranch’s seasonal pastures and supports extensive wildlife, including moose, deer, elk and a wild rainbow trout fishery. The ranch borders the Sawtooth National Forest and is immediately accessible to miles of hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, mountain bike riding, and backcountry skiing on adjacent federal lands.
Pioneer Moon Ranch lies in the center of one of Sun Valley’s most peaceful, secluded, and least developed areas and represents the largest property currently available for purchase in the upper Wood River Valley.
The price is $7.4 million.
