Turkcell’s Maltepe Plaza office in Istanbul can take pride in having a colorful, stress-free social area, probably even envied by some of the employees across the world. Designed by the creative team at mimaristudio , the project took four months to implement and consists of restaurants, break out rooms and coffee station areas- a total of eight communal spaces on four floors.
According to the designers, the main objective of the project was to provide a new and desirable space for the employees which to improve work conditions. Interviews were taken with the staff in each department, in order to built an environment that answered the needs of the people “living” here eight hours a day or more. The resulting social areas are colorful, engaging and original. Each of the new rooms inspires a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for taking a well-deserved break from work.
