If you’ve ever wished you could zip through the ocean waters in what is essentially a mechanical dolphin, then we have good news for you. Since 1997, Northern California-based company Innespace Productions have been designing submersible crafts which have the acrobatic capabilities to rival any water-dwelling creature. The Seabreacher is not quite a speedboat, not quite a personal submarine; the unique vessel is designed to both ride beneath and over the waves, and even leap into the air in majestic dolphin fashion. The company itself describes the Seabreacher as “like the twisted union of a marine mammal and a high performance fighter jet.”
Each Seabreacher is created to the custom design specifications of the individual consumer. Three basic models are available: Shark style X model, Killer Whale Y model, or the new Dolphin Z model. All of these mechanical sea beasts can be further customized with creative paintjobs and unique technical specs. The X model has a 260 horsepower engine and can reach speeds of 25 mph underwater and 50 mph on the surface. In true shark style, the X model has refined controls that allow it to leap out of the water at a 90 degree angle.
There are no prices listed on the Seabreacher website, so interested buyers will need to contact Innespace Productions for a price quote.
