Like a Jersey girl who went to Italy for the summer and came back miraculously transformed into a supermodel, the new €1 million, 16.7-metre Sea Ray 540DA looks more Euro than Yank. The company, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, has created a sleek, aggressive exterior, luxe interior and a state-of-the-art joystick-controlled Zeus pod drive system paired with twin 600 hp Cummins MerCruiser Diesel motors. Sea Ray is one of the first U.S. boatbuilders to use the Zeus, which many see as the future for under 30 metre class because of its incredible maneuverability as compared to traditional propulsion systems. – From James List
