To date, the tablet market has failed to emerge beyond Apple’s iPad. Challengers have emerged, but none have been able to offer a product that can beat the iPad, whether you are talking about features, apps, performance or price.
But that is about to change. Samsung is releasing a Wi-Fi only version of its 7″ Galaxy Tab for $350. The price comes in $150 less than the cheapest iPad.
The 7″ Galaxy Tab is running Android 2.2 (not the newer Honeycomb OS). But the device has gotten solid reviews, and offers a decent option for someone looking to save a few dollars. It also offers a distinct advantage over the iPad that no retailer has been able to muster to date.
