Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrated a seminal moment in British automotive history this past Sunday. Charles Rolls and Henry Royce met for the first time on May 4th exactly 110 years ago and agreed to form the company that would become synonymous with the very best in the automotive industry. Rolls-Royce celebrations took place throughout England, including the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex and at The Midland Hotel, Manchester.
The Midland Hotel was also the setting for the first meeting of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. The event in Manchester, which featured more than 30 heritage Rolls-Royces on display, was hosted by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club.
