Roberto Cavalli has announced that it will open its first Japan flagship store in September, with the designer behind the label to visit Tokyo to mark the opening of the boutique in early November. The store is located in the city’s upmarket Aoyama district and will also be the first directly owned and managed Roberto Cavalli boutique in Asia, indicating the firm demand for top quality brands in the Japanese market.

“Tokyo is on the world’s stage of fashion, glamour and sophistication,” said Cavalli. “This is a city of energy and inspiration. I wanted to create a boutique in which elegance dominates, both for women and for men, in a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere, in which each person can totally fulfill their dreams and desires. I have always been extremely interested in Japanese culture and I am looking forward to visiting Tokyo to celebrate our new boutique together.”

A two-storey structure with a floor space of 300 sq. meters, the Aoyama boutique will embody the modern elegance and glamour of the Cavalli world, the company said, and will represent the concept of a “global fashion store” that is already present in other flagship stores in major cities of the world, such as Milan, Paris, London, New York and Las Vegas.
The boutique will host the prêt-à-porter womenswear and menswear collections, as well as the accessories, eyewear, watch and underwear collections. The layout of the space has been designed in such a way to emphasize the various product categories available in the boutique.
