American designer Ralph Lauren’s eponymous company Ralph Lauren Corporation has opened the doors of its first Polo flagship in New York City. The United States-based company’s flagship brand can now boast of a new global flagship at
#POLO spans over 38,000 square feet. It is not only the first store to unveil the complete new world of Polo for women but also the first to showcase women’s Polo alongside the Polo men’s collection. The brand also debuts Ralph’s Coffee, which is Ralph Lauren’s first-ever coffee shop. Later this fall, it will also be home to The Polo Bar & Restaurant.
True to the brand’s rustic and chic downtown styling trend, the decor as well as the collection is based on authentic American inspirations of the rich woods of an Adirondack boathouse and the whitewashed bricks of a Brooklyn loft. To add refinement to the rustic style, the ready-to-wear collection is displayed alongside custom bikes, kayaks and vintage guitars throughout the new NYC flagship store.
The celebration continues with the launch the Polo for Women Spring 2015 collection. To mark this, Ralph Lauren has created a film celebrating New York City and projected it onto a 60-foot-tall wall of water in the heart of Central Park. To commemorate the new women’s Polo collection as well as the grand opening of the first-ever Polo flagship store on Fifth Avenue, Ralph Lauren has fused art, fashion and technology together for a first-of-its-kind event.
