10-year old actress Quvenzhané Wallis has landed her newest role: the face of Armani Junior. Wallis, who rose to fame as the star of “Beasts of the Southern Wild” (for which she received an Oscar nomination), is set to appear this fall along with Jamie Foxx in a film adaptation of the musical “Annie.”
Wallis wore Armani at the 2013 Oscar ceremony.
“Quvenzhané is so talented, despite her young age,” said Giorgio Armani in a press release. “Her kindness, curiosity and openness towards others really struck me, as they are all traits I admire. It is for this very reason that I wanted her to be the face of Armani Junior. With her insatiable energy, Quvenzhané made the clothing come alive, interpreting it in her own singular way.”
“I’m so happy to be chosen by Mr. Armani to be his ambassador for Armani Junior,” added Wallis. “I felt the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. Me? Wow!” she said in the release. “It’s fun to wear Armani Junior since I really like the clothes. It’s young. It’s cool. My friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes.
The campaign for Armani, which rolls out in June, was shot by Stefano Azario.
