“The only thing that matters to me is to develop, shape and never repeat.” These are the words by which Swedish designer Markus Johansson lives out his passion. With a creative representation of a cabinet that “twist in different directions on the pavement“, the designer imagined a piece of furniture that showcases a playful shape alongside an enticing interpretation.
The Walking Cabinet seems to freeze in motion every time you watch it, while it dances uninterrupted when no one pays attention. Movement and balance are both part of this peculiar design that twists only to shape an invitation for a second cabinet to join its geometric shape. Adding more cabinets to the display increases the display of playfulness, reconfiguring our perception of dynamic movements caught in time.
