Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly looking to spend around $25 million on a new home in New York City’s Upper West Side. The couple, who relocated to the city while Jolie was filming spy thriller Salt, are understood to be considering properties in the century-old Apthorp Building which is currently undergoing a conversion. Speaking to the New York Daily News, a source said: “The gated courtyard means they can get in and out of their car without being hassled by paparazzi. The building also has several other exits. I heard they’re ready to spend as much as $25 million.” It is thought that the couple are looking at the possibility of knocking three units together in the building, which was built in 1908 by the Astor family. Some of the flats apparently contain up to 13 rooms. Pitt and Jolie are reported to have spent $100,000 per month renting a property from Rupert Murdoch while the actress completed filming on her upcoming movie.
