While it’s not the original Santa Barbara, California mansion of drug kingpin Tony Montana, which was listed in 2008 for a cool $35 million, the home of the man who directed the 1983 cult film, Brian De Palma, has hit the market in Santa Monica, California. De Palma, best known as the director of such crime thriller and horror flicks as Carrie, Scarface, The Untouchables, Mission: Impossible and The Black Dahlia, is asking $4.25 million for the prime Mediterranean estate.
Located just a block away from the Santa Monica State Beach Park, the De Palma villa is a three-bedroom, three-bath offering with just under 4,200-square-feet of living space. The two-story home features French doors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and wrought iron fixtures, marble flooring and a custom spiral staircase. The upstairs area is dedicated to a spacious master suite with an adjacent private balcony that overlooks a lap pool and trellised patio area, along with a pair of bedrooms, while the rear of the home includes an additional guest suite.
