Oceania Cruises and Food & Wine Magazine to Serve Culinary Voyage

Pursuitist - 5-Star Luxury

One of the year’s most tempting gourmet cruises will set sail this September when Oceania Cruises hosts an Editor’s Cruise featuring Food & Wine editor in chief, Hunter Lewis.

The delectable Food & Wine voyage will serve up such special events as a culinary demonstration hosted by Lewis, Oceania Cruises’ signature gala brunch, wine tastings, bespoke culinary-focused shore excursions, and an exclusive Dom Pérignon Experience champagne pairing dinner at La Reserve restaurant. Additional special guests on board include J’nai Gaither, a Champagne, wine and food writer, and Alex Prud’homme, a celebrated culinary author and the great-nephew of Julia Child.

“Oceania Cruises is a cruise line built by foodies, run by foodies, for foodies, so the collaboration with Food & Wine is a natural one,” says Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, noting that the line’s culinary team is the only one in the industry helmed by two Master Chefs of France: Alexis Quaretti, Senior Culinary Director, and Eric Barale, Vice President of Culinary.

Oceania’s newly renovated, 1,250-guest ship Riviera will be the luxury vessel for the 10-day sailing from Barcelona to Athens. Departing on September 11, 2024, the cruise will visit epicurean hotspots across the Mediterranean, including Saint-Tropez, Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples, Mykonos, and Athens. Two destination-focused Chef’s Market Dinners will spotlight locally inspired dishes made with ingredients selected from markets in the port of the day.
