From the West Highland’s of Scotland comes this wonderful smokey, single malt Scotch.
The Oban 14 year old Scotch whiskey arrived in a glass with a rich, amber color. A whiff will reveal a sweet fruitiness, plus the sea salt and peatiness from the region.
A taste will give you honey and spices to go with a smokey maltiness. The peat is there, but much less than you would anticipate.
The Oban 14 is a great offering to anyone who likes Scotch. It offers a nice hint of the peatiness that so many Scotches have – but without overwhelming the other flavors.
You can get a bottle of Oban 14 year old whiskey for about $60-70.
