The recent rumors of the Nook Color are all true.
Barnes & Noble announced their next version of its Nook eReader. The Nook Color, on sale November 19 for $249, is a 7-inch, 16 million color, 1024×600 display from LG. It has WiFi for web browsing, email, search, Facebook, Twitter, games and more than 100 newspapers and magazines, and – of course – more two million book titles.
The Nook Color is powered by the Android OS, so apps are not far behind.
Kudos to B&N for upping the game on the eReader category. Amazon’s Kindle had dominated things of late, but the new Nook looks like a true contender this holiday season.
