U.S. Olympians are really looking forward to wearing Nike at the winter games in Sochi. That’s because the apparel giant will be outfitting any U.S. athlete who wins a medal at this year’s winter olympics.
U.S. olympic medalists will wear Nike’s Aeroloft 800 Summit Jacket when they take the podium. The jacket features a Team USA badge, Nike logo and USA insignia. They’ll also sport a winterized version of the Nike Flyknit Chukka, which is equipped with synthetic wool lining and water-resistant reflective skin.
In a nice touch, the items will include “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave” sayings embroidered in the hand pockets and on the sock liner of the shoes.
There’s lots of other nifty gear from Nike for the athletes, including flag-printed ‘victory’ gloves, a backpack, a Nike Shield Flash Jacket, a men’s hoodie and a fleece cape for women.
Nike says the gear is full of the latest innovative features and athletic design. That will mean a higher price for fans who want the items, which Nike will start selling on their website starting in January.
