Britain’s richest living artist, Damien Hirst, collaborated with bassist legend Flea, from Red Hot Chili Peppers in developing a striking line of bass guitars. Called “Multi-Coloured Deluxe Spin Bass Guitars”, the new designs are as fresh as they get and their prices go as high as 50,000 British Pounds ($ 80,190).
The guitars feature Damien Hirst’s iconic splash color design. According to Other Criteria, all profit from the sales of the guitars will go to Flea’s charity, called Silverlake Conservatory of Music. The items not only look great, but they also feature the signature of Flea and Hirst on the back, with the edition number marked on the base of the neck and the Hirst-Flea logo on the headstock.
Besides the Multi-Coloured Deluxe Spin Bass Guitars, which also come with ‘Exquisite Corpse’ drawing by Hirst and Flea and unique photograph of Hirst and Flea holding guitar (photo above), there are also Black and White Spin Bass Guitars and Colour Spin Bass Guitars available (photos below), at lower costs.
All the models are limited edition, come with a very special case and have a great design. You can either practice your skills on them, or hang them on the wall as trophies.
