You might think that luxurious beds have to be covered in Swarovski crystals or display gold details, but the rules of luxury have changed. Versatile and unique designs have monopolized the furniture market while furniture designers have been playing with shapes, textures, colors and geometry. The Cubed Bed by Francesca Paduano for Italian manufacturer Bolzan Letti shows that beds can provide both a comfortable environment, as well as a contemporary geometric design.
A sequence of modules were assembled to shape a highly appealing bed design. Sinuous lines run along from the top to the bottom, curbing to showcase its elements in a fashionable way. This cubic curve was inspired by rulers and interpreted in a playful game of highs and lows. The alcantara (an innovative, luxury material) or leather-covered polyurethane foam shapes either display the same colors or present themselves in a modular duality of color. Which one do you prefer?
