Singer, musician and archivist Michael Feinstein, best known for his Great American Songbook repertoire, has placed his Lenox Hill townhouse on the market for nearly $18 million. The townhouse, which Feinstein owns with spouse Terrence Flannery, is actually two combined homes. The entire complex was gutted and renovated in 2005 at a cost of almost $4 million.
The 18-room townhouse is stunning. It features a fourth-floor master suite accessible by private staircase, two kitchens, a gym, and a massive walk-in closet. The wall-sized Hirschfeld mural in the foyer will not be included in the sale.
