The Marten 49 “Pace” comes out on top at this year’s event.
Marten Yachts, famed for their construction and innovation of sailing yachts, were very successful at the 2009 Giraglia Rolex Cup with its Marten 49 “Pace”. The predominantly English crew, led by Johnny Vincent and Simon Tate, secured the right to call themselves Challenge Nucci Novi Trophy champions by achieving the best overall score from three days of racing – a journey from Saint-Tropez to Genoa via La Giraglia, the iconic rock off Corsica’s northern shores which gives the event its name. – From James List
